My name is Herman, the voice behind the book “Righteousness in America.” This narrative shares the journey of a young boy who, thanks to his devout Christian upbringing, discovered God early on. He extended an innocent request, asking God to accompany him throughout his life, ensuring he was never alone. As time passed, this boy grew into a man and ventured into the vast, tempting world. Yet, through every trial, God remained steadfastly by his side.

Now, at the age of seventy-eight, this “little boy” reflects on his life’s tapestry. With hair that’s silvered with time and a newfound hesitation to drive on highways, despite decades of traversing cities via cars, planes, and trains, he pauses to marvel at the continuous blessings he received from God.

His years have given him the privilege of witnessing countless wonders and miracles of the Almighty. The beautiful, intricate designs of God stand in stark contrast to human creations. Where man-made things eventually erode or break, God’s masterpieces remain timeless. Consider the sun, which has been radiating warmth for millions of years or the moon, which has consistently illuminated our night skies for just as long. The oceans and rivers, teeming with life, heed God’s command, never crossing the boundaries set for them, save for the rare instances of hurricanes or floods. The firmament remains overhead, and the seasons transition seamlessly, each in their divinely ordained time.

God’s profound love for Earth was manifest when He sent Jesus to redeem both mankind and our home. Man, with his recurring transgressions, had set himself on a path of destruction. But Jesus, descending from Heaven, had a singular, monumental mission: to be crucified. This sacrifice paved the way for eternal life, granting peace, joy, and satisfaction to all who believe in His divinity and His purpose on the Cross. The Bible reminds us that belief in Jesus remains the sole avenue to Heaven.

Interestingly, when Jesus lived amongst His people, many did not recognize Him as the prophesied Messiah. Despite His heavenly origins, the very villagers He grew up with failed to see His divinity, oblivious to the salvation He brought.
